Initial discussion about forming this organisation was discussed during the house warming event of the devotees in May 2015. After two weeks of planning, a group of 5 devotees decided to celebrate the Guru purnima event to gauge community interest and participation.
After several meetings and meticulous planning, the first public event was conducted on 25th July 2015 and the event was a great success with 180 devotees taking part, far exceeding the expected 80-100 devotees.

Shirdi Sai Sansthan Brisbane Ltd is a registered non-profit organization that serves the spiritual and cultural needs of our community. Sai Sansthan has been a source of solace and guidance for many years, providing a welcoming space for people to come together and connect with their faith. We are very pleased to inform you that the Sansthan has acquired land at 2-14 Scrubby Creek Road, Browns Plains, to build a Saibaba Community Centre. The Community Centre will bring our communities and devotees together, so that our future generations will have a place to pray and to carry on Indian traditions, culture, values and heritage.
